Unlike a flash, which seizes our attention but for a moment, things beautiful have a way of protracted drawing-in, of capturing and holding focus, inviting that we peer more deeply, ponder layers of wonder and connection, and even allow a rewiring of one’s sense of appreciation for the hiddenness of that which is most to be treasured.
In our distance and removed absence from being in the same space, memories and hope kindle an aesthetic which beckons us to reconvene as soon as possible.
